Unfortunately, the life of this dynamic species has been threatened during the last couple of decades due to climate change and global warming.

f serious steps are not been taken at global level for the sustainability of this autochthonous species of Himalayas and Karakorum, we may lose Yaks sooner or later in future like that of mammoth.
